Ahmed is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London, holding the title of MCIArb. He graduated from SOAS, University of London, with an LLM in Dispute and Conflict Resolution, specializing in international arbitration.
Ahmed has represented numerous local and international clients, including several international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) such as Relief International and the International Medical Corps, as well as banks and multinational corporations in Sudan and the UAE.
He has been appointed by Sudanese businessmen to represent them in international contracts abroad in various countries, with funding from several international banks, including the Arab Bank for Development in Africa, the OPIC Fund for International Development in Vienna, and the Saudi Fund for Development in Riyadh, KSA.
In 2017, Ahmed was selected as an ILFA Lawyer for their flagship program held in London and Dubai. ILFA, or International Lawyers for Africa, seconded him to King & Wood Mallesons (MENA) LLP in Dubai, UAE, where he worked directly under Managing Director Mr. Tim Taylor KC. He later joined Quadrant Chambers in London, UK, under the supervision of Mr. Chirag Karia KC.
Ahmed also has an interest in cases involving public liberties and constitutional rights. He has submitted constitutional claims and petitions to the constitutional court and other institutions to address inconsistencies in laws related to the fundamental principles of the constitution. Additionally, he has published articles in newspapers discussing the shortcomings and ineffective practices of both the courts and the government, as well as the Bar Association.
